Get Your Kicks on Route 66
26th of September, 2023Have you ever travelled on US Route 66?
12 years ago I travelled all of Route 66 in Arizona, all the way from the New Mexico border until the California border. Also did side trips to Canyon de Chelly, 4 Corners Monument, Monument Valley and Grand Canyon.
Have some really great and beautiful memories from that trip, too many to list all ... but some of my favourites were:
- Staying at the Red Garter in Williams
- Staying at the Wig Wam in Holbrook
- Evening at Museum Club in Flagstaff
- Visiting Oatman
- Meeting Angel Delgadillo in Seligman
- Standing on a corner in Winslow
And so many more little things that made this trip so awesome.
But my absolute best memory from that trip was staying at the hotel in Monument Valley. The view at sunrise is unforgettable beautiful ?
Probably my favourite holiday ever ...
